Day 20 and 21

More goofiness. I had a great night out last night, so my photo was rather rushed and silly. I took it literally three seconds before we ran out the door to go eat. We didn't get home until sometime after one.
Today was one of those lazy afternoons I live for. I found the second shot as I was wandering down a few country roads I haven't explored in a long while.

Day 19: Jack and Sally

Hmmm...today was one of those days. I was attempting a few free lens experiments that failed. Horribly. I need to play with that some more. After zumba class, I was exhausted and way too irritated to mess with it anymore. So here is today's shot. Nothing fancy.

My wedding cake topper. :)

Day 16, 17, and 18: Toys

The last few days have been a bit busy so I'm running behind on uploads. This has been the week of zumba classes, crashing computers, sick kids, and flat tires. I've been goofing off with these last few days of shooting. The last one is Devlin's room. >.< I'm scared to go in there. It's like a dollie crime scene- naked, broken bodies everywhere.

Day 15: How I Spent My Afternoon

That little boy cracks me up. Today I got to photograph this little guy, his sweet new baby brother, and these adorable girls. I think I have thirty different shots of him making this face and his artistic variations of it.

When I came home I had an awesome dinner waiting for me. So yeah, I had a decent sunday. :)

(I just couldn't leave out a shot of the new guy. )

I need your help. I got carried away with my photo taking goofiness and now I'm stuck. I don't know which should be today's shot for 365. Be awesome and let me know what you think? Leave a comment with your choice- one, two, three or four.

Day:13 The light and the glass

Oh yeah, I stole my title from Coheed and Cambria.

Kind of a busy day, but I got a few minutes of play in. These are some awesome old bottles a coworker gave me. I've been playing with them in different lights on and off since I got them.

Zumba class was crazy fun, but Amanda just wasn't allowing me to sneak in some shots. It looks like it's going to be a regular thing. Maaaaaaaaybe I'll sneak the camera past her one time.

Day 11: Flirting and its Dangers

I love old books. Love, love, love them. The older the better. My awesome mom picks up little gems at yard sales. This was one of them and by far one of my favorites. It's almost one hundred years old and boy can you tell. From the cracked binding and yellowed pages to the outdated language and advice, it's an oldy. The title page inside reads 'Search Lights on Health. Light on Dark Corners: A Complete Sexual Science and A Guide to Purity and Physical Manhood. Advice to Maiden, Wife, and Mother, Love, Courtship, and Marriage.'

Everything one could ever need to know on how to lead a good life is right here, from writing a love letter, to grooming habits, to avoiding the roads of total ruination as a young lady. I <3 this book. :)

Day 8, 9, and 10

Had quite a busy weekend, so I'm playing catch up with the uploading. Between Destiny's birthday party, the crazy 21st birthday party on Sunday, and the all day recovery on Monday- I didn't have much time to upload my 365 photos. A whole lot of nothing fancy, but I thought the rest of my lovely family needed to make a little cameo. And I tossed in an abstract on day 9. Sorry, no photos of the infamous 'motorboat' incident or what Amanda calls my "booty dance".

My husband let me take a shot of him first thing in the morning. <3

Day 9.
And my lovely, impish daughter. She had her hair straightened while she was gone over the weekend. Do not like. :( Normally she has wild locks.

Day 7

Today was Destiny's 8th birthday party at Kick's. yeaaaah. Loud, crazy, and full of hyper kids. Des said it was "the best birthday ever", so that makes it all okay.

On the way home it was rather foggy. We stopped at a gas station under the back light. I caught this shot of Josh smoking in front of the car. He said it would look better if he was holding an axe instead, but we couldn't find one. This will have to do.

Day 6: Bad Hair Day

Today was a kind of bleh day, all in all. I really didn't do much with the camera, as I went into a cleaning frenzy after work and then I went into some sort of workout frenzy. I had to catch a shot of Devlin's post nap hair and the evil glare she gave us all for laughing. The princess was not amused.

Tomorrow is Destiny's birthday party, and her turn to get a humiliating photo posted on the internet...again. Woot!

Day 5: Furbabies

I have had a couple requests to post some photos of my weirdo goat. The dog got jealous, so I added his whimpering mug to the mix. Here are two of our animals. Baphomet the emo goat and Atreyu the whimp. They're buddies... until one gets food. Then they turn into cry baby enemies. Atreyu will eat green beans and carrots...only because the goat gets them.
Both love to irritate the hell out of me. I spent a good chunk of time trapped in Baphomet's pen today, as he found it hilarious to chase me about, try to knock me off the tires into the mud, and threatening to head butt me. -_- My 8 year old had to rescue me from the goat. How sad.

Day 4- Sunset

Today was a whole lot of nothing special so I took a little road trip in the country. Annnnnd almost got stuck in a snowy ditch while staring at the pretty sunset. :) Yay for mini adventures.

Project 365: Day 3- Nail Biter

Running a little low on ideas today, so I attempted a self portrait. Hae I mentioned that I really, really, really don't like selfies? I suck at them. They stress me out... and I wind up biting my nails mid shot.

sooo...ta-da! Here's today's theme. ^_^

I'd also like to note that my kids are big meanies who refuse to pose for their mom. That it all.

Project 365: Day 2- New Guitar

Josh got his Gibson in the mail today. That was a hell of a package to lug out of the post office and try to fit in to my tiny car. It wasn't the robot guitar he was hoping for, but he's still pretty pleased. He hasn't stopped playing since he opened the case, and I'm loving it.

Project 365- Day One

I've decided to take up Project 365 again- but with none of that self portrait stuff that irritated me so much ;) I plan on spending my year recording my life, expanding my creativity, and building on my photography skills one photo, one day at a time.

And here is the deep, terribly creative subject matter I have chosen for day one...

Domo and Dragon!

There are a couple of reasons why I chose this for my first photo.

1. I am full of an obscene amount of caffeine and stupid giggly.
2. My two headed dragon was my favorite toy since I was very, very little. I had more love for him than any whiny baby doll or trampy Barbie. Which illustrates just how weird I am.
3. What better way to prep any one who may view my progress than to just be up front. This is going to be a project of the silly and the strange. That's the only way I know how to go. :)
