So yesterday I thought I found a nifty shot after church. I got all excited, pulled my car over and ...noticed that I left all of my damn memory cards at home. bleh. I wound up wandering in my parents yard. My father is a blacksmith. He usually makes colonial period pieces, camping gear, and some random home decor. Then every so often he gets bored and comes up with something off the wall. This is one of several birds that he created to hold plants. They are soooo at home with his collection of creepy lawn gnomes and frowning flowers.
Today's shot went waaaay off from what I was expecting. I had one of my off the wall still life's going on when my oldest begged to have her picture taken. When I put everything aside to take a few, this is the best face I could get from her.
I liked it.
